Extra information:

Having spent the main part of his career photographing sport, Pete Jenkins is more than accomplished at taking the photograph that most would miss. The instant the foot impacts on the ball, the point the divers fingers touch the water, the expression of triumph as the try is scored. 'Detail' has been everything in a career supplying the nations newspapers with powerful sporting images. This ability has been invaluable in supplying yet more stunning images to publications all over the world, including books; in subjects as diverse as tennis, history, and architecture.

The modern consumer is so well used to the photographic image that it can often be taken for granted. As buildings, events, and locations are no longer viewed with the respect they deserve; what can, and often does catch the consumer's eye, is the 'detail'. The reflection in a window, a close up of a particularly beautiful piece of carving, a child's face, joyful with
the excitement of discovering a new wonder.

Hence 'Detail Photography', Pete Jenkins' unfailing ability to capture the very essence of an image and present it in it's most arresting form is now about so much more than just 'sporting' images.'
